Gential warts and genital herpes are increasing in incidence.- are due to DNA ,viruses and, may be followed by malignant change, This retrospective survey showed a stronger correlation in women of herpes with warts than of herpes with gonorrhoea or other non sexually transmitted diseases; Women with genital herpes, are recommended to have annual cervical smears. This may be especially important for women with both conditions affecting the cervix and may be worth considering 'm women with cer cal warts. In men herpes was more strongly correlated with warts and gonorrhoea than with syphilis or other, non sexually transmitted conditions. It is suggested that in men the correlation may be due to sexual acquisition but in omen the correlation may be due to a stronger link.
