An 18-year-old girl presented with acne and bullae in the oral cavity for 1 week. Strikingly, the lesions of acne were hemorrhagic. She also had multiple petechiae all over the body. Her platelet count was found to be 2500/ml. She was referred to a physician who confirmed the diagnosis of immune thrombocytopenia (also known as immune or idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura). She was treated with oral corticosteroids and platelet transfusions.
