A new animal model is developed using dog俟Q製 muzzle to demonstrate progressive depigmentation after birth. Dog俟Q製 muzzle is heavily pigmented with pigment melanin and looks black in colour. Progressive depigmentation was observed two months after birth in pup born with a depigmented mucous membrance of the mouth and lips. This resembles the vitiligo of humans.
