Skin Diseases in Paraplegics Under Institutional Care

Seventy five paraplegics under institutional care, were followed up for one year to study the incidence and pattern of skin diseases, Factors such as immobility, amitosis, vasomotor instability and sensory loss made the skin of, the paraplegic part vulnerable to diseases. A high incense of intertrigo of the feet mostly bacterial was wen, but the incidence of fungal, bacterial and viral infection elsewhere was not higher. Dryness
