The literature on ruby angiomas is reviewed and their connection with cirrhosis of liver is shown. Data on the incidence of ruby angiomas were obtained from observations on sixty normal persons and sixty cases of cirrhosis of liver in both the sexes belonging to different age groups. Ruby angiomas were found more numerous in cirrhosis of liver than in normal persons. They may form one of the cutaneous manifestations of microangiopathy occurring in hepatocellular failure. The pathogenesis of these angiomas is obscure.
